Community Giving

Community Giving Committee: Reads and reviews all local (Dover and Strafford County) funding  requests submitted to Rotary each quarter. (Application: doverrotary.com) Encourages projects which promote community service, and which stimulate community leaders to become Rotarians. Requests  should support Rotary-aided projects or local non-profits where Rotary can play a significant financial role or perform services which advance our club’s reputation. Decides, via email vote, to accept, reject,  or ask for more clarification for any request.  May pass a request  to the Board of Directors if it’s a larger dollar amount. Typical requests include support for fundraising activities; road race sponsorships;  summer day camp costs; and aiding cancer, mental health, and youth leadership support organizations. (Meets quarterly)
